CVU Screen Updates to support IFT Fund Transfer
CVU Screen Updates to support Fund Transfer selections

In order for the new CVU section to appear, the PPfA and the agent organization must have the correct setting values.

The PPfA for the contract product has two values that can cause the “Establish A New Program” section to display.

  • Fund Transfer FeatureTransactionProduct, TransType=102:

  • Asset Rebalancing FeatureTransactionProduct, TransType=107, ArrType=3:

  • To enable the “Establish A New Program…” section in the CVU, there are settings that must be in place for the organization. The agent’s organization can be a Distributor or a Carrier (testing against itself in Pilot mode).

Distributors being tested in Production region:

  1. Login to hierarchy
  2. Navigate to Hierarchy Client Administrator
  3. Click the Edit link for the active Hierarchy in production.
  4. Click the Distributors sub-tab.
  5. Find BFDIST1 and click the Edit link.
  6. Click the Carrier Appointment sub-tab.
  7. Find “AIGAnnuities” entry that is “Main” and click the Edit link.
  8. IFT Fund Transfer requires a setting be checked:
    1. EnableFundTransfer
  9. This setting will permit Fund Transfer to appear in the CVU screen.

Carriers testing themselves (pilot region subscriptions)… there is no hierarchy for carriers.

  1. Login
  2. Click Affirm Config Management.
  3. Click the Subscriptions tab.
  4. Find the pilot subscription that needs editing and click the Edit link.
    1. Example, PRU_PILOT
  5. In the list of configs, one is needed to allow Fund Transfer to appear in the CVU screen:
    1. FundTransferAlwaysEnabled = 1
Note: It is possible for a Distributor organization to have both Subscription config settings and Carrier Appointment settings (though they should not be set up with both in practice). However, if this is done, the results will be additive.

The settings for WithdrawalStartTime and WithdrawalEndTime will cause the Start Request button to be enabled or disabled, depending on the time of day.

VICallStartime, and VICallEndTime will cause the Get Latest Values button to be enabled or disabled, depending on the time of day.

Restrictions for Fund Transfer and Asset Rebalancing should disable “Start Request” button on CVU screen

When using a contract that is restricted from all the functionality in a section of the CVU screen, the “Start Request” button will be disabled.

This policy has restrictions for both withdrawals and fund transfers, and also for Asset Rebalancing (via Arrangement Restriction Contract Restriction):

After getting both 21207 and 21209 responses, the withdrawal restrictions disable the Start button in the Withdrawal section. The “Establish a New Program…” section has the Start button disabled because both Asset Rebalancing and Fund Transfers are restricted.
