What’s the Big Idea?? – October 2020

Share your ideas to help us make our solutions meet all of your needs!

We have some of the greatest development teams around, but nothing is better than user feedback and feedback from those that understand the needs of each of their industries unique processes when deciding how to enhance solutions. At the end of the day, we want to make sure our solutions make your lives easier and create efficiencies to save time and effort.

What are people posting to the Idea Forum?

“User Creation Idea – It would be nice to have the Submit button go away ONCE clicked”

This Idea Forum poster saw an issue with our registration process and wanted to suggest a fix. The idea here is to avoid creating multiple users when trying to register because it can happen if the submit button is clicked multiple times.

“Add support for multiple table ratings in Lifepipe API”

This poster wants more functionality for our API tool. They want our LifePipe API GetQuickTermLifeQuote request to show multiple table ratings instead of just allowing one to show on a single request.

“Add Resonant Release Notes to Customer Portal”

This poster was someone that found that we were lacking on our Customer Portal site and requested we get Resonant release notes added.

“Improved Searching in iGO Admin Tool”

This admin tool user is asking for a way to enhance the iGO Admin tool. They are suggesting an enhancement that would allow searching by status and a few other alternatives.

As you can see, Idea Forum posters are suggesting enhancements to not only products but tools they might use as well as different processes they experience. What happens after an idea is posted? Our teams then review the requests, check the votes, and determine if the idea warrants creating backlog items for internal prioritization. The more votes an idea has, the higher the chance it will be picked up by our teams for internal review and potentially make its way into production! But don’t worry, even if an idea doesn’t have any votes, we still might take action. Some of the above ideas had no votes and we still decided to review internally!

Why should I bother posting my ideas?
Every idea matters and the most powerful ideas are those coming from the users of the solutions and those that are on the front lines or managing the back office. You experience or hear firsthand what could be better or what we could add to make our solutions more adaptable to your needs. Chances are, if you need or want it, someone else does too.

Don’t stop at creating ideas though. Take the time to peruse the other ideas and vote for your favorites. We even take the time to comment back on some ideas if the functionality exists or we have feedback to send back your way.

I know what you are thinking. “That’s great author of this article, but prove to me it’s worth my time.” We surveyed 213 ideas and found the following:

  • 15 are In Review
  • 3 are Planned
  • 5 are In Progress
  • 42 are Completed

The more you use it, the more valuable it becomes. I encourage you all to check it out and throw some ideas at us!
